       The cost of the whole structure will depend on the number of people staying and the available space. Family of 4 consumes on average 350 KWH electricity, 15 Kiloliters water and 50 kg vegetables per month. To make all above requirements from their month, they need 250 square feet for solar panel, 300 square feet for growing vegetables and 1000 square feet open area to harvest rain water. The one-time setup cost for this proposed house will be around 3,00,000/- INR but with our innovative financing model, the customer will only have to pay 20% and rest will be EMI. Trs while The life of setup is 10 years.

 

As we live in northen hemisphere of the Earth ,we  place our solar panel facing towards south. The angle of inclination of panel depends on the latitude of the specific location.

To be specific:

  • 1KWh capacity solar plant generates 4.5 units of electricity per day on an average.
  • With this calculation, in the period of a month, the amount of electricity generated is around 135 units.
  • Thus, 1 year = 135 x 12 =1620 units of electricity per year.

For example:

      If, in a house, the power consumption on an average is 130 units per month, then he would require 1560 units of electricity per year.

Let us consider, cost per unit of electricity is 10rs.So, the total cost per year will be 1560 units x 10 rs. =15600 rs/year.

 10KWh cost for solar installation is 60000rs. So,60000/15600 =3.8 years

The solar panel system expected working for 25 years ,  you will regain your cost after 4 years and you will get 21 years free electricity.

Hence, 

You save, 21 x 15600 = 3,27,600 Rs. (Conservatively)

1 KWh = 1000 watts
